ORDINANCE NO. B-2184
AN ORDINANCE providing for the vacation of ALL of Martin Street
(approximately 640 feet more or less in length) in Yakima,
Yakima County, Washington; and declaring an emergency.
WHEREAS, a petition has been filed with the City Commission of
the City of Yakima providing for the vacation of the hereinafter described
property; and
WHEREAS, by resolution adopted by the City Commission, a hear-
ing on said petition was set for the 9th day of July, 1958, at the hour
of 10:00 o'clock in the forenoon of said day at the office of the City
Commission at the City Hall, Yakima, Washington, and notice thereof wasi.
duly given in the manner provided by statute and by the City Clerk of said
City; and
WHEREAS, upon the hearing on said petition no objection was
made thereon or filed, and it being deemed for the best interest of the
City of Yakima that said petition be granted and All of said Martin
Street by vacated;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. That the following described Martin Street in the
City of Yakima, Washington, to-wit:
All of Martin Street (approximately 640 feet more or less
in length)
be and the same is hereby vacated.
Section 2. The City of Yakima hereby reserves all necessary
easements and rights of way for the installation and maintenance of any
and all water mains, sewers or utilities of any and all kinds which may
now exist in said Martin Street, or which it may heredfter desire to con-
struct therein, without interference with any existing building thereon.
Section 3. This ordinance is one to provide for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, property, health and safety of the
people of the City of Yakima; and an emergency is hereby declared to exist;
and said ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its
passage, approval and publication as provided by law and the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COMMISSION, signed and approved this 9th day
of July, 1958.
