'SUBMITTED BY: Jeff B. West, Acting City Prosecutor CONTACT PERSON/TELEPHONE: Jeff B. West, Acting City Prosecutor 575 -6033. SUMMARY EXPLANATION: The proposed Ordinance amendment alters the fee for case reports to provide a more equitable and practical billing system. Charging $5.00 for a two page report does not seem equitable to the requestor. Charging $5.00 for a 300 to 400 page murder investigation report does not accurately reflect the City's cost in producing such documents. The sum of $.25 has been arrived at by adding the City's actual cost to provide copies. , In addition, the charge for notary services raised from $2.00 to $3.00 to comport with the general price currently charged by private institutions.
