ORDINANCE NO. 99 =41
AN ORDINANCE amending;The 1999 budget for the City of Yakima; and making an
appropriation of $228,000 in the 345 - LID Construction Control
Fund for expenditure during 1999 for the constuction of an 8 -inch
public sewer system.
WHEREAS, the amount of $228,000 must be appropriated within the 345 - LiD
Construction Control Fund in order to provide funding for the construction of an 8 -inch public
sewer system, and 4
WHEREAS, at the time of the adoption of the 1999 budget it could not reasonably have
been foreseen that the appropriation provided for by this ordinance would be required; and the
City Council finds that an emergency exists of the type contemplated by RCW 35.33.091 and that
it is in the best interests of the City to make the appropriation herein provided, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE j' CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. The amount of $228,000 is hereby appropriated from the Unappropriated
Fund Balance in the 345 - LID Construction Control Fund to account numbers as specified on
Schedule I as a 1999 appropriation.

Section 2. This ordinance is one making an appropriation and shall take effect
immediately upon its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and by the City
Charter.

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
On June 15, 1999 Council held a public hearing to form an L.I.D. for North 85th Avenue Sewer.
Council approved the formation of this Local Improvement District Number 1055, City Project
Number 1883. ( City Ordinance No. 99 - 22. )
This Ordinance appropriates $228,000.00 to the LID Construction Control Fund.
