HomeMy WebLinkAbout1986-2961 REZONE PROPERTY ON 5TH AVENUE BETWEEN WILLOW & POPLAR STREETS O RDINANCE [ • 2 . 9 6 is AN ORDINANCE affirming the Hearing Examiner's recommendation to rezone property on 5th Avenue between Willow and Poplar Streets, and amending the zoning map of the City of Yakima. WHEREAS, on May 9, '1986, the Hearing Examiner held a hearing on the application of Francis Gamache and Leonard Dufault, et al, for the rezone of property on 5th Avenue bet - ween Willow. and Poplar 'Street, Yakima, Washington, the legal description of which is set out hereinbelow, from R -3, Multi Family Residential District and HB, Historical, Business District, to B-2, Local Business District, and • WHEREAS, as a result of that hearing, the Hearing Examiner recommended to the City Council that the rezone be granted, and WHEREAS, at its public meeting on May 27, 1986, the City Council determined that the decision of the Hearing Examiner should be affirmed, now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1. The decision of the Hearing Examiner, recom- mending the rezone of property on 5th Avenue between Willow and Poplar Streets in the City of Yakima, Washington, the legal description of which is as follows: The east 120 feet of the west 500 feet of the south 492.5 feet of the north 532..75 feet of the Southwest quarter of the Southeast. quarter of Section 13, Township 13 North, Range 18 E.W.M. from R -3, Multi - Family Residential District and HB, Historical Buiiness District, to B-2, Local Business District, is hereby affirmed; and that property is hereby rezoned to B -2, Local • Business District. Section 2. The City of Yakima zoning map is hereby amended to correspond to the rezone ordained by Section 1 of this ordinance. -40/ Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to file with the Yakima County Auditor a certified copy of this ordinance. • Section 4. 14:13ordinance a11 be in full force and effect thirty days after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and by the City Charter.
