HomeMy WebLinkAbout2002-047 Amended Future Land Use Map ORDINANCE NO. 2002- 47 AN ORDINANCE concerning land use regulation and comprehensive planning, and amending the Future Land Use Map of the Yakima Urban Area Comprehensive Plan. WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Urban Area Regional Planning Agreement, the Regional Planning Commission and the Joint Board have reviewed and issued their recommendations regarding the following proposed amendments to the Yakima Urban Area Comprehensive Plan; and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it is in the best interest of the City to enact the following; now therefore BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA, WASHINGTON: Section 1. The document labeled "Map III -3, Future Land Use, September 3, 2002" attached to this ordinance as Exhibit A and fully incorporated herein by this reference, is adopted as the Future Land Use Map of the Yakima Urban Area Comprehensive Plan, and any previous Future Land Use Maps are removed from the plan and shall be of no further force or effect. Section 2. Severability: If any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause or phrase of this ordinance, or any provision of the Yakima Urban Area Comprehensive Plan established by this ordinance, is declared invalid or unconstitutional for any reason, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this ordinance, or other provisions of the Yakima Urban Area Comprehensive Plan established by this ordinance. Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect 30 days after its passage, approval, and publication as provided by law and by the City Charter. The attached ordinance formally adopts .these changes to the Yakima Urban Area Future Land Use Map III -3. Resolution Ordinance X Contract Other (Specify) Funding Source APPROVAL FOR SUBMITTAL: it Manager STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Adopt ordinance. BOARD RECOMMENDATION: Regional Planning Commission and the Urban Area Joint Board approved amendments. COUNCIL ACTION:
