HomeMy WebLinkAbout2005-012 Possession of Stolen Property; YMC Amendment ORDINANCE NO 2005- 12 AN ORDINANCE relating to public safety and morals, amending Section 6 68 080 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code to comport the elements of the City ordinance with those elements set forth in the Revised Code of Washington for the same criminal act. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA Section 1 Section 6 68 080 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows "6 68 080 Possession of stolen property A. A person is guilty of possessing stolen property if he knowingly receives, retains, possesses conceals or disposes of stolen property knowing it has been stolen and for which the value of the property does not exceed two hundred fifty dollars in value B Possessing stolen property is a gross misdemeanor " Section 2 This ordinance shall be in full force and effect 30 days after its passage, approval, and publication as provided by law and by the City Charter PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this 1st day of March ,2005 ' •.� 4 ATTEST auI P George, Mayo' City Clerk Publication Date 3- 4-2005 Effective Date 4-3 -2005 (jc)ord/stolen prop.
