An Ordinance Amending the 2005 Budget and Making an Appropriation in the 000 - General Fund to Provide for Reimbursable Expenses Related to Engineering Projects SUBMITTED BY K. Wendell Adams, City Engineer Cindy Epperson, Financial Services Manager CONTACT PERSON /TELEPHONE. K. Wendell Adams - 575 -6111 SUMMARY EXPLANATION The Engineering Division has experienced a high project volume in 2005 The largest project requiring Engineering staff time is Washington Avenue. Additionally, the River Road improvement project is in early stages of planning and design, along with execution of several signalization and sidewalk projects. The time that Engineering dedicates to specific projects is costed and reimbursed to General Fund by the funding sources tied to those projects. The attached appropriation ordinance authorizes an increase in temporary salaries and overtime for the Engineering Division in a total amount of $42,000 Additionally, the revenue account in General Fund representing project reimbursement is being increased by the same amount, resulting in a balanced appropriation —i.e. General Fund reserves are not affected by this transaction.
