ORDINANCE NO 2994
AN ORDINANCE affirming the Hearing Examiner's recommendation
11111 to rezone property in the 1200 and 1300 blocks of
South 6th Street, and amending the zoning map of
the City Yakima.
WHEREAS, on September 17, 1986, the Hearing Examiner held
a hearing on a rezone request initiated by the Yakima City
Council at the request of R. F. Hahn for the rezone of prop-
erty in the 1200 and 1300 blocks of South 6th Street, Yakima,
Washington, the legal description of which is set out herein-
below, from R-2, Two-Family Residential District and B-1,
PrOfessional Business District, to CBDS, Central Business
District Support, and
WHEREAS, as a result of that hearing,, the Hearing

Examiner recommended to the City Council that the rezone be

granted, and
WHEREAS, at its public meeting on October 14, 1986, the
City Council deterMined that the decision of the Hearing •
Examiner should be affirmed, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. The decision of the Hearing EXaminet-, recom-
mending the rezone of property in the 1200 and 1300 blocks of

South 6th Street in the City of Yakima, Washington, the legal
description of which is as follows:

Tracts 11, 12, 14, 15, and 16 of the Fairchild Acre
Tracts as recorded in "A" of;P1aS,Page 115,
records of Yakima County, Washington, , •
EXCEPT the West 80 feet and the South 35 feet of the
East 170 feet of Tract 11 of said Fairchild Acre
Tracts; and
Beginning at a point 25 feet westerly of the south-
west corner of Lot 1 of the Fairchild Acre Tracts as
recorded in Volume "A" of Plats, Page 115, records
of Yakima County, Washington, said point being on
the south line of said Lot 1 extended; thence north-
erly to a point 25 feet westerly of the northwest
corner of said Lot 1, said point being on the north
line of said Lot 1 extended; thence easterly along
II/ H the north line of said Lot 1, 61.11 feet; thence
southwesterly to the point of beginning;
EXCEPT the North 15 feet of the above described
parcel.

from R-2, Two-Family Residential District and B-1, profes-
sional Business District to CBDS, Central Business District
Support, is hereby affirmed; and that property is hereby
rezoned to CBDS,. Central Business District Support.
Section 2. The City of Yakima zoning map is hereby
amended to correspond to the rezone ordained by Section 1 of

this ordinance. •
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to file with the Yakima County Auditor a certified
copy of . this ordinance.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect thirty days after its passage, approval and publication
as provided by law and by the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this
day of November, 1986.
