An Ordinance Amending the 2006 Budget in the Parks and Recreation Capital Fund and Arterial Street Fund to Provide for Improvements to the Southeast Community Center and Sidewalks in the vicinity SUBMITTED BY Bill Cook, Director of Community & Economic Development Cindy Epperson, Financial Services Manager CONTACT PERSON/TELEPHONE. Cindy Epperson - 575 -6070 SUMMARY EXPLANATION. The appropriation ordinance presented at the August 15, 2006 meeting had an error in the account numbers /funds being used to account for improvements to be made to the Southeast Community Center and sidewalk improvements /replacement along S 6 St, to be funded by a grant from Yakima County -- Supporting Investments in Economic Development (SIED) The original appropriation had the entire project charged to the Parks and Recreation Capital Fund. However, the improvements to the Southeast Community Center and property should remain in the Parks and Recreation Capital Fund, while the sidewalk improvements in the vicinity should be included in the Arterial Street fund as they relate to infrastructure The original appropriation increases both the revenue and expenditures in the Parks and Recreation Capital Fund by $200,000 to accomplish the improvements, which include sidewalk replacement along S 6 Street, and other facility upgrades, including ADA accessibility improvements, and roof and floor tile replacement. The attached, corrected appropriation splits the revenue and expenditures with $100,000 remaining in the Parks Capital Fund, and $100,000 in the Arterial Street Fund. The grant is currently estimated to fund these projects in their entirety —no capital reserves are designated for these projects. Resolution Ordinance X Contract Other (Specify) Funding Source.
