AN ORDINANCE relating to Trees and Shrubs, Streets and Sidewalks, repealing
section 8 80 025 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code in its
entirety; and amending Chapter 8 80 of the Yakima Municipal
Code
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA.
Section 1. Section 8 80 025 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code is hereby repealed in
its entirety as follows.

Section 2. Effective Date This ordinance shall be in full force and effect 30 days after its
passage, approval and publication as provided by law and by the City Charter
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL at a regular meeting and signed and approved this
16th day of October, 2007

ITEM TITLE: Consideration of Ordinance relating to Trees and Shrubs, Streets and
Sidewalks, repealing section 8 80 025 of the Yakima Municipal Code in its entirety; and
amending Chapter 8 80 of the Yakima Municipal Code

SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
On February 20, 2007 the City Council approved four ordinances related to authority and
enforcement provisions of the Yakima Municipal Code related to sidewalk repair, street break
permits and intersection clearview areas. Unfortunately, one section of the Municipal Code was
inadvertently omitted and should have been repealed in Ordinance 2007 -06 The attached
ordinance repeals the obsolete provision of the Yakima Municipal Code.
