R-2020-004 fixing time for a public hearing before the Hearing Examiner on February 13, 2020, on a petition (Petition No 19-12) to vacate a platted right-of-way at 810 N 6th Ave WHEREAS, pursuant to RCW 35.79 010, a petition (Petition No 19-12, RWV#001-19) has been filed with the City Clerk, requesting the vacation of a street or alleyway (or portion thereof) within the City of Yakima, a true copy of which petition is attached and incorporated into this resolution (Exhibit "A"), and WHEREAS, such a petition has been signed by the owners of more than two-thirds (2/3) of the property abutting upon the street or alley (or portion thereof) which is requested to be vacated, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA. The above -referenced petition for vacation is hereby referred to the Hearing Examiner for public hearing pursuant to section 1 43 080 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code The Hearing Examiner is directed to make written recommendation to the City Council regarding said petition. For Meeting of: January 21, 2020 Resolution setting February 13, 2020, as the date for an open record public hearing before the City of Yakima Hearing Examiner to vacate a portion of an alleyway in the vicinity of N 6th Ave and Fruitvale Blvd Joan Davenport, Al CP, Community Development Director Colleda Monick, Community Development Specialist (509) 576- 6772 SUMMARY EXPLANATION: On November 1, 2019, the Yakima Housing Authority submitted a petition (Petition 19-12, RWV#001-19) to vacate a portion of an alleyway that extends west of N 6th Ave, located south of Fruitvale Blvd. The portion of the alleyway proposed to be vacated begins approximately 122 feet west of N 6th Ave and runs approximately 244 feet westbound to the end of the existing alleyway. City Council is being asked to set the date for this public hearing before the Hearing Examiner for February 13, 2020.
