AN ORDINANCE vacating a portion of East Arlington Street in
the City of Yakima, Washington.
WHEREAS, a petition was filed with the City requesting
the vacation of that portion of East Arlington Street
specifically described below, and
WHEREAS, a hearing on said petition was held by the Yakima
Planning Commission, which recommended the vacation of that
portion of East Arlington Street, and by the Yakima City
Council; and as a result of its hearing, the Yakima City
Council finds it to be in the best interests of the City that
said petition be granted and that the portion of East Arlington
Street described below be vacated, now, therefore,
• BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. That portion of East Arlington Street lying
between South 1st Street and the Burlington Northern Railroad
right-of-way, more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the northeast corner of the southeast
quarter of the northwest quarter of Section 30,
Township 13 North, Range 19 E.W.M.; thence west
along the north line of said subdivision 126.56
feet to the true point of beginning; 280 feet west
of the true point of beginning; thence north 3.30
feet to the north line of said subdivision; thence
east 280 feet to the true point of beginning.
is hereby vacated.
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
4111 thirty days after its passage, approval and publication as
provided by law and by the City Charter; provided, this ordinance
shall not become effective until compensation in the amount of
$883.84 has been paid to the. City.
