HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984-2820 PARTIAL VACATION OF PORTION OF SOUTH 10TH AVENUE ORDINANCE No. 2 2 0 All AN ORDINANCE providing for the partial vacation of a portion of South 10th Avenue in the City of Yakima, Washington. III1 WHEREAS, in connection with the rezoning to a Planned Development Zone of the St. Elizabeth's Medical Center facility, a request was: made for the partial vacation of a portion of South 10th Avenue, the legal description of which is set out hereinbelow, and WHEREAS, hearings were held by both the City Planning Commission and City Council on the matter of the vacation, and as a result of those hearings the City Council finds it to be in the best interests of the City that a portion of South 10th 111 Avenue be partially vacated as more specifically provided herein- below, now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1. The following portion of South 10th Avenue between Chestnut Street and Walnut Street in the City of Yakima, Washington, to wit: Beginning at the northeast corner of Lot 1, Block 392 of Capital Addition to North Yakima (now Yakima) as recorded in Volume "A" of Plats, Page 29, records of Yakima County, Washington; thence easterly along the north line extended of said Lot 1 a distance of 21.5 feet; thence southerly parallel to the east line of said Block 392 a distance of 400 feet to the south 4110 line extended of Lot 8 of said Block 392; thence westerly a distance of 21.5 feet to the southeast corner of said Lot 8; thence northerly along the east line of said Block 392 to the point of beginning. is hereby vacated. Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty days after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and by the City Charter; provided, this ordinance shall not become effective until compensation in the amount of $15,050.00 has been paid to the City.
