AN ORDINANCE relating to personnel, creating a management employee health care plan, requiring monetary contribution by management employees to such plan and enacting Subsection 2.04.030D of the City of Yakima Municipal Code. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1: Subsection 2.04.030D of the City of Yakima Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: 2.04.030 City Contributions. D. Management Plan Created - Contributors. A City of Yakima health care plan is hereby adopted for management employees. The plan shall consist of hospi- tal, medical, dental, and vision coverage for all manage- ment employees. Such plan shall be on file in the office of the personnel division. The City shall pay the full cost of coverage of the plan for a management employee. The City shall contribute up to a maximum of two hundred and forty-eight dollars and ten cents (5248.10) per month towards the plan cost of coverage for a management employee and his or her dependents. 'Management employee' means any non- temporary employee in the management series, executive support series, public safety management series, execu- tive series as defined by Section 2.20.100 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code and any other non-temporary employee who is not a member of any collective bargaining unit recognized by the City. Any cost of coverage for management employee and dependent coverage in excess of two hundred and forty-eight dollars and ten cents (5248.10) shall be paid by the management employee through monthly payroll deductions. 'Cost of coverage' shall mean the average monthly cost of coverage for the plan as determined from time to time by the City's health care administrator or the city manager. Such determina- tion shall be final and binding. Payroll deductions shall be prorated as of the effective date of this ordinance. Thereafter, full deductions shall be made for each month or portion there- of of employment." _ 1 - (ord/hlthcare) Section 2: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect 30 days after its passage, approval, and publication as provided by law and by the City Charter.
