AN ORDINANCE relating to funds and accounts, creating the nuisance abatement fund; and enacting Chapter 3.106 as a new chapter and sections thereof all of the City of Yakima Municipal Code. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1: C hapter 3.106 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code together with Sections 3.106.010, 3.106.020, and 3.106.030 are hereby enacted as a new chapter and sections thereof of the City of Yakima Municipal Code to read as fol- 1O!AS' "Chapter 3.106 NUISANCE ABATEMENT FUND Sections: 3.106.010 Fund created - Purposes. 3.106.020 Source of funds. 3.106.030 Expenditures. 3.106.010 Fund created Purposes. There is hereb\ created a fund to be known as the Nuisance Abate - ment Fund. Money in this fund shall be expended only to pa■ for the cost of public nuisance abatement. 3.106.020 Source of funds. From time to time, the City Council shall budget, appropriate or otherwise authorize the transfer of money from any available source into such fund. Money to be deposited in this fund shall also consist of state and federal grants and loans,pri- vate grants, however designated, and court awarded judg- ments all of which are associated with abatement of public nuisances by the City. 3.106.030 Expenditures. Expenditures from such fund shall be only for the purpose mentioned in Section 3.106.010 of this chapter. No expenditures shall be made from such fund unless the City Council approves such expenditure by passing an ordinance appropriating money within the fund for the purpose for which the expenditure is to be made, or by including an appropriation for such purpose in the budget." 110 - 1 - (ord'fnds) 1 Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect 30 days after its passage, approval, and publication as provided by law and by the City Charter.
