RESOLUTION NO. R 2019
A RESOLUTION rescinding Resolution R-2019-113.
WHEREAS, the City Council previously adopted Resolution 2019-113; and
WHEREAS, the City Council now deems it appropriate to rescind such resolution; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Yakima finds that it is in the best interest of the
City and its residents to rescind R-2019-133; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
1. Resolution R-2019-133: A resolution of the City Council of the City of Yakima, Washington,
providing for the submission to the voters of the City of Yakima, at a special election to be
held therein on February 11, 2020, of a Proposition on whether Articles I, II, IV, VI, VII,
VI I I, XIII, XIV, and XV of the Charter of the City of Yakima should be amended to abandon
and abolish the Council-Manager form of government and adopt the Mayor-Council form
of government, making ancillary and corrective amendments throughout the Charter to
accommodate the change in the form of government, and requesting the Yakima County
Auditor to call a special election, is hereby RESCINDED in full and is no longer in any
force or effect.
2. The City Clerk is directed to take all necessary steps to remove the matter from the
February 11, 2020 ballot.
