AN ORDINANCE correcting the legal description of the North
1111 Airport Annexation found in Ordinance No. 3196.
WHEREAS, Ordinance 3196 of the City of Yakima, passed on
August 22, 1989, incorrectly included property adjacent and
north of South 36th Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to correct the boundary
lines set by Ordinance No. 3196 to include the correct legal
description as contemplated at the time the Ordinance was
originally passed; now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1: The property description contained in City of
Yakima Ordinance No. 3196 is hereby amended to read as fol-
lows:
All that part of Sections 26, 27, 34, and 35, Township 13
North, Range 18 E.W.M. lying within Yakima County, Wash-
ington described as follows:
Beginning at the northeast corner of Lot 1 of that cer-
tain Short Plat recorded in Volume C of Short Plats, page
33, records of Yakima County, Washington; thence south,
along the east line thereof, to the southeast corner of
said Lot 1; thence westerly, along the south line of said
Lot 1, to the west right -of -way line of South 36th Avenue
as deeded to Yakima County, Washington by instrument
recorded in Volume 1003 of Deeds, page 2050, under Audi-
tor's File Number 2461432, records of Yakima County,
Washington; thence southerly, along said west right -of-
way line to the south line of the north half of the
northeast quarter of Section 34, Township 13 North, Range
18 E.W.M.; thence easterly, along said south line to the
east line of said Section 34; thence south, along the
east line of said Section 34, to the northerly right-of-
way line of relocated Washington Avenue; thence south-
easterly along said right -of -way line to the west line of
the east half of the southwest quarter of the northwest
quarter of Section 35, Township 13 North, Range 18,
E.W.M.; thence north, along the west line of the east
half of the southwest quarter of the northwest quarter of
said Section 35, to a point 931 feet north of, when
measured at right angles to, the south line of the north-
west quarter of said Section 35; thence east, parallel
with the north line of the southwest quarter of the
northwest quarter of said Section 35, 666.4 feet; thence
north, along the west line of the southeast quarter of
the northwest quarter of said Section 35, to the north-
west corner of the southeast quarter of the northwest
quarter of said Section 35; thence east, along the north
line of the southeast quarter of the northwest quarter of
said Section 35, to the southeast corner of the west half
of the west half of the northeast quarter of the north-
west quarter of said Section 35; thence north along the
east line of said west half of the west half of the
northeast quarter of the northwest quarter of said Sec-
tion 35 to a point 573.5 feet south of the north line of
said subdivision; thence east 389.5 feet more or less to
the easterly or northerly right -of -way line of a lateral
from the Naches and Cowiche Ditch; thence southeasterly

along the northerly right -of -way of said lateral 612.5
feet more or less to the center line of South 24th
Avenue; thence north along said center line of South 24th
Avenue to the north line extended of Lot 18, Block 2,
Sutor Addition Number 2, as recorded in Volume "N" of
Plats, page 21, records of Yakima County, Washington;
thence east along the north line and north line extended
of Lots 18 and 3 of said Sutor Addition Number 2, to the
center line of South 23rd Avenue; thence north along the
center line of South 23rd Avenue to the south line of the
northwest quarter of the southwest quarter of the
southeast quarter of Section 26, Township 13 North, Range
18 E.W.M.; thence east along last said south line to the
center line of South 22nd Avenue; thence north along the
center line of South 22nd. Avenue to the center line of
West Viola Avenue; thence west along said line to the
northeast corner of the southeast quarter of the
southwest quarter of Section 26, Township 13 North, Range
18, E.W.M., thence southerly along the east line of said
subdivision to a point 16.5 feet southerly of the
northeast corner of the south half of the north half of
the southeast quarter of the southwest quarter of said
Section 26; thence westerly parallel with the north line
of said subdivision to a point lying 250 feet east of the
west line of the southeast quarter of the southwest
quarter of said Section 26; thence southerly parallel
with the west line of the southeast quarter of the
southwest quarter of said section 26 to the south line of
said subdivision; thence southerly parallel with the west
line of the northeast quarter of the northwest quarter of
Section 35, Township 13 North, Range 18, E.W.M., 25 feet;
thence westerly parallel with the north line of said
subdivision to the east line of the northwest quarter of
the northwest quarter of Section 35, Township 13 North,
Range 1B, E.W.M.; thence northerly along said east line
to the northeast corner of the northwest quarter of the
northwest quarter of said Section 35; thence westerly
along the north line of the northwest quarter of the
northwest quarter of said Section 35 to the northeast
corner of the west half of said subdivision; thence
southerly along the east line of said west half to a
point lying 115.5 feet north of the southeast corner of
said subdivision; thence northwesterly to a point lying
66 feet north of Wide Hollow Creek and 330 feet east of
the west line of said subdivision; thence south 60 feet
to Wide Hollow Creek; thence northwesterly along Wide
Hollow Creek to the west line of said subdivision; thence
northerly along said west line to the southeast corner of
Section 27, Township 13 North, Range 18, E.W.M., thence •
south 89 59' west along the south line of said Section 27
to the point of beginning.
Section 2. All other Sections of Ordinance No. 3196
shall remain in full force and effect, shall apply to the
property described in this amendatory ordinance as if the
amendatory property description in this ordinance had been
written in Ordinance No. 3196.
Section 3. The next regularly amended zoning district
map prepared by and for the City of Yakima shall show said
property as hereinbefore described.
Section 4. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to file a certified copy of this ordinance with the
County Auditor of Yakima County and with the Hoard of County
Commissioners of Yakima County, Washington.

Section 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect 30 days after its passage, approval, and publication as
provided by law and the City Charter.
