ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE annexing property to the City of Yakima and
zoning said property.
WHEREAS, proceedings have been held in accordance with
all applicable laws for the annexation to the City of Yakima
of the property hereinafter described, and
WHEREAS, a hearing was duly held on such annexation by
the Yakima County Boundary Review Board as required by law and
as a result of such hearing the Boundary Review Board has
approved the annexation provided for by this ordinance, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal notice, the City
Council held a public hearing on said annexation on the 17th
day of October, 1989; and, as a result thereof, finds that
such property should be annexed to the City of Yakima and
further finds that the property should retain its current
zoning pursuant to the Yakima Urban Area Zoning Map and that
such zoning and classification is in accord with the Yakima
Urban Area Comprehensive Plan, the General Plan of the City of
Yakima, that not less than seventy -five percent of the proper-
ty owners within the area described below have petitioned the
City Council for annexation, that the needs of the City and
community do require the hereinafter set forth zoning classi-
fication, and the highest and best use for said property is as
hereinafter determined, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1: The following described property is hereby
annexed to the City of Yakima, Washington:
Beginning at the northwest corner of Lot 17, "Hilltop
Heights ", according to the plat thereof recorded ,,n
Volume "Q" of Plats, page 41, records of Yakima County,
Washington;
Thence south 72 ° 21'30" east along the northerly line of
Lots 17, 16, 15, & 14, of said plat, to the northeast
corner of said Lot 14;
Thence south 0 ° 56' east along the east line of said Lot
14, and said line extended, 326 feet more or less, to the
intersection of said line with the southeasterly line of
Hilltop Drive as shown on said plat;
Thence following the southeasterly line of said Hilltop_
Drive, southerly, to the south line of the northwest
quarter of Section 15,- Township 13 North, Range 18
E .W.M.; -
Thence south 89 ° 37' west, along the south line of said
subdivision, 286.6 feet more or less, to the southwest
corner of the east half of the west half of the southwest
quarter of the northwest quarter of Section 15, Township
13 North, Range 18 E.W.M.;

Thence northerly along the west line of said subdivision
276.68 feet to the southeast corner of Lot 4 of that
certain short plat recorded as number 86 -55, under Audi-
tor's file number 2757190, records of said County;
Thence North 89 ° 29'08" west along the south line of said
short plat 328.83 feet to the southwest corner thereof;
Thence north 0 ° 56'20" west 440.55 feet to the northwest
corner of said short plat;
Thence north 66 ° 26'20" east along the northerly line of
said short plat, 356.19 feet to the most northerly corner
thereof, being a point on the westerly line of the afore-
mentioned "Hilltop Heights ";
Thence northerly along said westerly line 82.31 feet,
more or less, to the northwest corner of the aforesaid
Lot 17 and the point of beginning.
Section 2. The owners of the hereinbefore described real
property annexed to the City of Yakima shall be required to
assume existing indebtedness of the City of Yakima.
Section 3. The hereinbefore described real property
110 annexed to the City of Yakima is hereby zoned as it is cur-
rently zoned and depicted on the official zoning map for the
unincorporated portion of the Yakima Urban Area which map is
maintained in the Yakima County Planning Department and which
map is incorporated herein by reference.
Section 4. The next regularly amended Zoning District
Map prepared by and for the City of Yakima shall show said
property as hereinbefore zoned and classified.
Section 5. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to file a certified copy of this ordinance with the
County Auditor of Yakima County and with the Board of County
Commissioners of Yakima County, Washington.
Section 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect the first day of the calendar month next following
41/1 thirty days after its passage, approval, and publication as
provided by law and by the City Charter.
