AN ORDINANCE annexing property to the City of Yakima and
zoning said property.
WHEREAS, proceedings have been held in accordance with
all applicable laws for the annexation to the City of Yakima
of the property hereinafter described, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Yakima
duly held a public hearing on the zoning of said property
hereinafter described and annexed and, as a result of said
hearing, duly recommended that said property be annexed to
the City of Yakima and zoned as hereinafter specified, and
WHEREAS, a hearing was duly held on such annexation by
the Yakima County Boundary Review Board as required by law
and as a result of such hearing the Boundary Review Board
has approved the annexation provided for by this ordinance,
and
WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal notice, the City (-
Council held a public hearing on said annexation on the 1st
day of December, 1981; and, as a result thereof, finds that
such property should be annexed to the City of Yakima and
further finds that the property should be zoned as hereinafter
set forth for the reasons that such zoning and classification

is in accord with good planning and with the General Plan of
the City of Yakima, that the majority of the property owners
in the vicinity do not oppose the classification or the annex-
ation, that the needs of the City and community do require the
hereinafter set forth zoning classification, and that the
highest and best use for said property is as hereinafter
determined, now, therefore,

1-91, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. The following described property contiguous
to the City of Yakima is hereby annexed to the City of Yakima,

Washington.:
Beginning at the Northeast corner of Section 22,
Township 13 'North, Range 18, E.W.M.; thence Southerly
along the East line of said Section 22 to the North 111
line extended of Flagg Addition as recorded in Volume
I of plats, page 30, records of Yakima County, Wash-
ington; thence Westerly along said North line and
North line extended to the East line of the Ontario
Land Subdivision as recorded in Volume B

of plats, page 60, records of Yakima County, Washing-
ton; thence Northerly along said East line to the South
right-of-way line of Englewood Avenue; thence Easterly
along said right-of-way line to the East right-of-way
line extended of North 34th Avenue; thence Northerly
along said line and extended line to the centerline of
Pacific Power and Light Company's Canal; thence South-
easterly along said centerline to the East line. of
Section 15, Township 13 North, Range 18, E.W.M.; thence
Southerly along said East line to the point of beginning.
Section 2. The owners of the hereinbefore described real
property annexed to the City of Yakima shall be required, to
46 assume existing indebtednesses of the City of Yakima.
Section 3. The hereinbefore described real property annexed
to the City of Yakima is hereby zoned as follows:
(a) The following described.property is hereby zoned as
R-3, Multiple-Family Zone:
That part of the Northeast quarter of Section 22,
Township 13 North, Range 18, E.W.M., described as
follows:
Beginning on the North line of said Section 330
feet West of the Northeast corner thereof; thence
South 267 feet to the true point of beginning;
thence South 249.8 feet; thence West 354.5 feet;
thence North 249.8 feet; thence East 354.4 feet,
more or less, to the true point of beginning.
The West 266 feet of the East 596 feet of the North Agi
267 feet of the Northeast quarter of the Northeast
quarter of Section 22, Township 13 North, Range 18,
E.W.M.,
EXCEPT the North 178 feet of the East 88.5 feet
therefrom, and
EXCEPT right-of-way for road on the North.
(b) The following described property is hereby zoned as
Planned Development Zone in accordance with Planned Development
Zoning previously approved by Yakima County under its Ordinance
No. 8-1974 Mod. 47:
Section 22, Township 13 North, Range 18, E.W.M.
beginning at a point on the East line of said
Section 22, a distance of 1479.73 feet North of
the Southeast corner of the Northeast quarter .
thereof; thence North 89°38' West 1032.8 feet;
thence North 0°7' West 177.1 feet; thence South .
89°38' East 1033.3 feet to the East line of said
Section 22: Thence South along said East line
177.1 feet to the point of beginning. EXCEPT
the East 252 feet thereof, and EXCEPT the West
25 feet thereof.

410 (c) The following described property is hereby zoned as
Planned Development Zone in accordance with the outside utility
agreement approved December 9, 1980, by motion of the Yakima
City Council:

Lots 1 and 2 of that certain short plat recorded in
book D of short plats, page 38, records of Yakima
County, Washington.
(d) All of the property hereby annexed to the City of
Yakima as described in Section 1 hereof is hereby zoned as
R-1, One-Family Zone, except for the portions thereof zoned
R-3, Multiple-Family Zone and Planned Development Zones as
described and provided in Section 3 hereof.
410 Section 4. The next regularly amended Use District Map
prepared by and for the City of Yakima shall show said property
as hereinbefore zoned and classified.
Section 5. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and
directed to file a certified copy of this ordinance with the
County Auditor of Yakima County and with the Board of County
Commissioners of Yakima County, Washington.
Section 6. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect thirty days after its passage, approval and publication
as provided by law and by the City Charter.
