ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE amending the 1991 budget for the City of Yakima, and making
an appropriation of $55,000 in the Domestic Water
Improvement Fund for expenditure during 1991 for purchase
of a Terrace Heights Reservoir site
WHEREAS, the amount of $55,000 must be appropriated within the Domestic
Water Improvement Fund in order to provide funding for purchase of a Terrace Heights
Reservoir Site, and
WHEREAS, at the time of the adoption of the 1991 budget it could not
reasonably have been foreseen that the appropriation provided for by this ordinance
would be required, and the City Council finds that an emergency exists of the type
contemplated by RCW 35 33 091 and that it is in the best interests of the City to make
the appropriation herein provided, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. The amount of $55,000 is hereby appropriated from the
Unappropriated Fund Balance in the Domestic Water Improvement Fund to account
number 477 477 348 1483 594 34 -650 as a 1991 appropriation
• Section 2. This ordinance is one making an appropriation and shall take
effect immediately upon its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and
by the City Charter

RESOLUTION NO. D -5917
A RESOLUTION authorizing the execution of a Purchase and Sale
Agreement for property located near Maple Avenue
in Terrace Heights, Yakima County, Washington.
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima Department of Engineering and
Utilities needs a site in the Terrace Heights area to locate a
water reservoir; and
WHEREAS, James A. Lentz and Mary Frances Lentz, husband
and wife, have offered for sale to the City of Yakima a five -
acre parcel of land near Maple Avenue in Terrace Heights for
the purchase price of Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000.00);
and
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima desires to acquire this
parcel of land for use as a reservoir site; and
WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best
interest of the City of Yakima to purchase said property and
enter into the attached Purchase and Sale Agreement, now,
therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
The City Manager and City Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to execute the attached and incorporated Purchase and
Sale Agreement with James A. Lentz and Mary Frances Lentz, and
the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to proceed
with the purchase of said property.
