AN ORDINANCE. relating to buildings, amending the Mechanical Code to
correct a numerical error and amending Section 11 32 077
of the City of Yakima Municipal Code.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1 Section 11 32 077 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code is
hereby amended to read as follows:
"11.32.077 Amendment to Table No. 3 -A.
Amendment to Table No. 3 -A of the Uniform Mechanical Code
adopted by this chapter is amended to read as follows.
Table No. 3 -A -- Mechanic Permit Fees
EFFECTIVE 1/21/92
Permit Issuance
1 For the issuance of each permit S15 00
2 For issuing each supplemental permit S 6.50
• Unit Fee Schedule
1 For the installation or relocation of
each forced -air gravit) -type furnace
or burner, including ducts and vents
attached to such appliance, up to and
including 100,000 Btu /h $11.00
2 For the installation or relocation of each
forced -air or gravit) -type furnace or
burner, including ducts and vents attached
to such appliance over 100,000 Btu /h S13 00
3 For the installation or relocation of each
floor furnace, mending vent S11 00
4 For the installation or relocation of each

5 For the installation, relocation or replace-
ment of each appliance vent installed and

6 For the repair or alteration of, or addition to
each heating appliance, refrigeration unit,
cooling unit, absorption unit, or each heating,
cooling, absorption, or evaporative cooling
system, including the installation of controls

boiler or compressor to and including three
horsepower, or each absorption system to
and including 100,000 Btu /h $11 00
8 For the installation or relocation of each
boiler or compressor over three horsepower
to and including 15 horsepow er, or each

9 For the installation or relocation of each
boiler or compressor over 15 horsepower to

to and including 50 horsepower or for each

12 For each air - handling unit to and including
10,000 cubic feet per minute, including ducts
attached thereto $ 8.50
NOTE: This fee shall not apply to an air - handling unit which is a
portion of a factory - assembled appliance, cooling unit,
evaporatk e cooler or absorption unit for which a permit is
required e1sew here in this code.
13 For each air - handling unit over 10,000
cfm $13,00
14 For each evaporate\ e cooler other than porta-
ble type S 8.50

• 16 For each ventilation system which is not a
portion of any heating or air - conditioning
system authorized by a permit $ 8.50
17 For the installation of each hood which is
served by mechanical exhaust, including the
duct for such hood $ 8.50
18 For the installation or relocation of each
domestic -type incinerator $13.00
19 For the installation or relocation of each
commercial or industrial -type incinerator $47 00
20 For each appliance or piece of equipment
regulated by this code but not classed in
other appliance categories, or for which no
other fee is listed in this code $ 8.50
21 When Chapter 22 is applicable (see Section
103), permit fees for fuel -gas piping shall be
as follows:
For each gas - piping system of 1 -4 outlets $ 5 00
• For each gas - piping system of 5 or more out-
lets, per outlet $ 1 50
22 When Chapter 24 is applicable (see Section
103), permit fees for processing piping shall be
as follows:
For each hazardous process piping system (HPP)
of 1 -4 outlets $ 5 00
For each piping system of 5 or more outlets,
per outlet $ 1 50
For each nonhazardous process piping system
(NPP) of 1 -4 outlets $ 5 00
For each piping system of 5 or more outlets,
per outlet $ 1 50
OTHER INSPECTIONS AND FEES
1 Inspection outside of normal business hours
(minimum charge -- two hours) $30 per hr*
2 Reinspection fees assessed under provisions
of Section 305(g) $30 per hr*

3 Inspection for which no fee is specifically
® indicated (minimum charge -- one half
hour) $30 per hr*
4 Additional plan review required by changes,
additions or revisions to approved plans
(minimum charge -- one -half hour) $30 per hr*
*Or the total hourly cost to the jurisdiction, whichever is
greatest This cost shall include supervision, overhead,
equipment, hourly wages and fringe benefits of the employees
involved."
Section 2 This ordinance shall be in full force and effect 30 days after
its passage, approval, and publication as provided by law and by the City
Charter
