ORDINANCE NO. 94- 25
• AN ORDINANCE relating to traffic, adopting the Washington Model Traffic
Ordinance as contained in the Washington Administrative Code,
Chapter 308 -330 WAC, amending Sections 9 46 010 and 9 46 020;
repealing Chapter 9 50, Sections 9 50 110, 9 50 120, 9 50 400
9 50 410, and 9 50 415, and enacting as new sections Sections
9 46 030 and 9 46 040 all of the City of Yakima Municipal Code.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1 Yakima Municipal Code 9 46.010 is hereby amended to read as
follows:
"9 46.010 Model Traffic Ordinance.
The Washington Model Traffic Ordinance, RCW Chaptcr 46.90
Chapter. 308 -330 WAC which shall be referred to as the 'Model Traffic
Ordinance' or 'MTO,' is adopted by reference as if set forth in full in this
chapter subject to the deletions and modifications set out in the
following sections."
Section 2 Section 9 46 020 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code is hereby
amended to read as follows:
"9 46 020 Deletions and modifications to the Model Traffic
10 Ordinance.
A. Deletions. The following sections of the Model Traffic
Ordinance are not adopted as part of the city of Yakima Municipal Code.

Section 3 Chapter 9 50, Sections 9 50 110, 9 50 120, 9 50 400, 9 50 410, and
9 50 415 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code are hereby repealed.
Section 4 Section 9 46.030 is hereby enacted as a new section of the City of
Yakima Municipal Code to read as follows:
"9.46.030 Savings.
The amendments of YMC 9 46 010 and YMC 9 46 020 and repeal of
9 50 110, 9 50 120, 9 50 400, 9 50 410, and 9 50 415 does not affect any
pending or existing litigation and does not operate as an abatement or
bar to any action or proceeding pending under or by virtue of the
repealed ordinance."
Section 5 Section 9 46 040 is hereby enacted as a new section of the City of
• Yakima Municipal Code to read as follows:
"9 46 040 Severability.
If any provision of this ordinance or its application to any
person or circumstance is held invalid, the remainder of the ordinance,
or the application of the provision to other persons or circumstances is
not affected."
Section 6 This ordinance shall be in full force and effect 30 days after its
passage, approval, and publication as provided by law and by the City Charter
