SUMMARY EXPLANATION
On October 17, 1995, the City Council adopted a Resolution of Intent to create the Alpine Court
Sewer Local Improvement District (Resolution No R -95 -142) by conducting a public hearing on
November 7, 1995
The proposed Alpine Court Sewer Local Improvement District (LID) involves 10 parcels. The
City has received petitions requesting formation of this LID from property owners representing
over 75% of the assessed property value The project consists of approximately 370' of 8 -inch
sewer line in Alpine Court, west of N 88th Avenue This project will connect into the new
sewer main in N 88th Avenue, recently constructed by Yakima County as part of the
O Summitview road improvement project.
The estimated LID assessment for the respective parcels of land is attached. The rates were
calculated on a rate per parcel. This method of computation was selected based on equity of
fairness The City is in compliance with State law and City policy in the formation of this LID
LID assessments may be financed by the City of Yakima on a ten -year plan through the sale of
