AN ORDINANCE amending the 1994 budget for the City of Yakima, and
making an appropriation of $69,947 in the Central
Business District Capital Improvement Fund for
expenditure during 1994 for a street lighting project.
WHEREAS, the amount of $69,947 must be appropriated within the
Central Business District Capital Improvement Fund in order to provide funding
for a street lighting project, and
WHEREAS, at the time of the adoption of the 1994 budget it could not
reasonably have been foreseen that the appropriation provided for by this
ordinance would be required, and the City Council finds that an emergency
exists of the type contemplated by RCW 35 33.091 and that it is in the best
interests of the City to make the appropriation herein provided, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. The amount of $69,947 is hereby appropriated from the
4110 Unappropriated Fund Balance in the Central Business District Capital
Improvement Fund to account number 321 -4- 321 - 321 - 0000 - 59642 -630 as a
1994 appropriation
Section 2, This ordinance is one making an appropriation and shall take
effect immediately upon its passage, approval and publication as provided by
law and by the City Charter

The following Special Provisions supersede any conflicting provisions of
the 1991 Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge, and Municipal
Construction, including the APWA Supplement, Section 1 -99, and are made a
part of this contract.
pROJECT DESCRIPTIOAj
This project consists of furnishing and installing street lighting at
fourteen locations in the Central Business District (CBD) along Yakima
Avenue, 3rd Street, and 4th Street. The work consists of furnishing and
installing all necessary materials and equipment to complete a workable
system that includes luminaires, poles, bases, conduit, cable, junction
boxes, and patching
