WHEREAS, the City Council finds and declares an eme rgency to exist so as,to authorize the immediate effectiveness of this ordinance in order to adjust City 410 1-employee salaries to be effective January 1, 1982, as required 'by collective bargaining agreements between the City and certain employee groups and otherwiae as authorized during consideration by the Council of 1982 budget, now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY' OF YAKIMA: Section 1. Section 2.20.110 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: "2.20.110 Compensation Plan. The following pay ranges and pay steps for the classes allocated to these pay ranges shall be in full force and effect as of January 1, 1982. The following pay rates shall constitute full compensation for those employees with a work week of forty hours as set out • in other sections of this code. Employees whose work week is less than forty hours ' shall be paid at the rate which is in the same proportion to the rates set out herein that their work week bears to forty hours. The hourly rate for those employees of the Fire Department whose work week exceeds forty hours shall be computed according to the provisions of Section 2.22.030 of this code. PERSV C5 -5- The performance of employees, except the City Manager, in the following series designated (a) through (d) shall be evaluated annually in accordance with a management performance evaluation plan to be administered under the direction of the City Manager, as such plan may be approved or modified from time to time by the City Council.
