AN ORDINANCE relating to funds and accounts; creating a Paths
and Trails Reserve Fund as a special fund and
designating the purposes thereof, the sources
of revenue thereto and regulating expenditures
111 therefrom; enacting Chapter 3.55, "Paths and Trails
Reserve Fund", and Sections 3.55.010, 3.55.020
and 3.55.030 as a new chapter and new sections,
all of the City of Yakima Municipal Code.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. Chapter 3.55, "Paths and Trails Reserve Fund",
and Sections 3.55.010, 3.55.020 and 3.55.030, are hereby enacted
as a new chapter and new sections of the City of Yakima Municipal
Code, to read as follows:
411 "Chapter 3.55
PATHS AND TRAILS RESERVE FUND
3.55.010 Fund created--Purposes. There is
hereby created a special fund to be known as the
Paths and Trails Reserve Fund. The money in such
fund shall be expended only for the purposes of
planning, accommodating, establishing and maintain-
ing paths or trails for pedestrians, equestrians,
or bicycles within, along or across city street right-
of-way in accordance with existing provisions of
Chapter 47.30 of the Revised Code of Washington or
as the same may be amended from time to time.
3.55.020 Source of funds. Money to be deposited
in the Paths and Trails Reserve Fund shall consist
of that portion of Motor Vehicle Gas Tax Funds required
by law to be expended for the purposes specified in

to time by appropriate action of the City Council.
3.55.030 Expenditures. Expenditures from the
Paths and Trails Reserve Fund shall be made only for
the purposes specified in Section 3.55.010 of this
chapter. No expenditure shall be made from such fund
unless the Yakima City Council shall approve such expen-
diture by including an appropriation for such purpose
in the budget, or by enacting an ordinance appropriat-
ing money within such fund for transfer to and expendi-
ture from the City Street Fund."
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
• thirty days after its passage, approval and publication as pro-
vided by law and by the City Charter.
