AN ORDINANCE ,fixing and levying the amount of ad valorem taxes nec-
411 essary to balance estimated revenue with estimated ex-
penditure for the 1980 Budget for the City of Yakima.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the total net amount of
$3,885,807 in revenue must be raised by ad valorem taxes on real and
personal property within the corporate limits of the City of Yakima to
balance estimated revenues and expenditures for the 1980 Budget for the
City of Yakima, now therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. There is hereby fixed to be raised by general property
taxes upon real and personal property within the City of Yakima the
amount of $3,986,815 as reduced by Senior Citizen exemptions on special
• and regular levies of $87,104, and annexed area exemptions on special
levies of $13,904, leaving a net tax revenue of $3,885,807, which
amount, when added to the estimated available revenues from all other
sources, will balance the estimated revenues with the estimated expendi-
tures for the 1980 Budget for the City of Yakima.
Section 2. There is hereby levied upon all taxable property, both
real and personal, within the City of Yakima, Washington, a total of
$4.1 on each thousand dollars of assessed valuation where the assessment
level is 100% of such property to provide tax revenues for the following
purposes:

• Section 3. The Clerk is directed to transmit a certified copy of
this ordinance to the office of the County Commissioners of Yakima
County, Washington.
Section 4. This ordinance is one required to be made by the laws
of the State of Washington and shall be in full force and effect from
and after its passage, approval and publication by title as provided by •
the City Charter.
