ORDINANCE NO. rX 35.3 AN ORDINANCE relating to city personnel; adopting a classification plan and a compensation plan for city employees; amending Sections 2.20.100 and 2.20.110 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code and declaring an emergency. WHEREAS, the collective bargaining process between the City and Local 469, International Association of Firefighters, AFL -CIO, has been • concluded and an agreement executed with salary adjustments to be effective January 1, 1980; 1980 salaries for City management personnel have been set; and reclassification studies of general City employee positions and management positions have been completed for implementa- tion on January 1, 1980, all to coincide with the effective date of the 1980 budget to be adopted by the City to be effective January 1, 1980; all so as to authorize this ordinance as an emergency ordinance to be effective January 1, 1980; and the City Council does hereby find and de- clare such an emergency to exist; now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1. Section 2.20.100 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: "2.20.100 Classification Plan. The following classification plan shall be in full force and effect as of January 1, 1980. Section 2.20.110 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows: "2.20.110 Compensation Plan. The following pay ranges and pay steps for the classes allocated to these pay ranges shall be in full force and effect as of January 1, 1980. The following pay rates shall constitute full compensation for those employees with a work week of forty hours as set out in other sections of this code. Employees whose work week is less than forty hours shall be paid at the rate which is in the same proportion to the rates set out • herein that their work week bears to forty hours. The hourly rate for those employees of the Fire Department whose work week exceeds forty hours shall be computed according to the provisions of Section 2.22.030 of this code. -5- (a) Executive Series
