Thurston County website — the grants they offer are in the $2000-$2500 range for

coordinate the tent and materials.
C. Saturday Soapbox
Ms. Kenmotsu discussed a possible idea of a story about the incinerator at
Kiwanis Park. Mr. Pasten noted another possible trolley letter given the recent
news about the trolley system and the Selah Gap fire that stranded the trolley for
a few hours. A former Trolley member discussed the needed infrastructure
improvements from the fire. The estimate to replace the burned out poles is
below $2000 per pole. Ms. Storrs discussed providing additional information on
how to get more involved with the trolleys. Mr. Pasten noted that funding is the
biggest issue. Ms. Stohr commented that it would be nice to have a few letters in
the queue. Some additional ideas included Fruit Row, art and historic pieces
around town (bins of light), and the Colonel.
