ORDINANCE NO, a /(or AN ORDINANCE relating to the 1978 Budget; amending Ordinance No. 2143, enacted December 19, 1977, entitled An Ordinance adopting a budget for the City of Yakima, Washing- ton, for the year 1978; and appropriating funds for estimated expenditures", and amending the 1978 Budget by re-allocating revenue; and declaring an emergency. WHEREAS, pursuant to requirements of state law, the 1978 Budget for the City allocates the amount of $660,000 from Federal Antirecession Funds as revenue to 000-General Fund, and allocates the amount of $660,000 from ad valorem taxes on real and personal property as revenue to 131-Park and Recreation Fund, and WHEREAS, the amount of $660,000 should be re-allocated from the revenue sources referred to above so that revenue from Federal Antirecession Funds is allocated to 131-Parks and Recreation Fund and so that the amount of $660,000 from ad advalorem taxes on real and personal property is allocated to 000-General Fund, all so that federal requirements pertaining to administering Federal Anti recession Funds may be complied with and so as to obviate the neces- sity for temporary inter fund loans which otherwise would be necessary for cash flow purposes pending the receipt of property tax revenue during the current fiscal year, and WHEREAS, the City Council deems it to be in the best interests of the City to amend the 1978 Budget of the City by re-allocating revenue as described above and as provided by this ordinance, now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1. City of Yakima Ordinance No, 2143, enacted Decem- ber 19, 1977, entitled "An Ordinance adopting a budget for the City of Yakima, Washington, for the year 1978; and appropriating funds for estimated expenditures", and the 1978 Budget of the City of Yakima adopted by that ordinance, are hereby amended by re-allocating revenue as follows: 000 - General Fund Existing Amended Acct.000.311.10 $1,145,780 $1,805,780 a, 000.369.30.00.198 684 658 24, 658 0 131 -park and Recreation Fund Existing Amended 131.311.10 660,000 ®0® 131.369.30.00.198 -0° 660,000 Section 2. This ordinance is one to provide for the immediate preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare of the people of the City of Yakima and an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and by the City.
