AN ORDINANCE accepting the recommendation of the Planning Commission
and rezoning property at North 52nd Avenue between
Summitview and Chestnut in the City of Yakima from
R -4, Suburban Residential Zone, to R -1, Single Family
Zone.
Ilk WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal notice, the City Council of
the City of Yakima held a hearing on the 31st day of July, 1978,
upon the recommendation of the Planning Commission that real property
situated at North 52nd Avenue between Summitview and Chestnut in
the City of Yakima, Washington, be rezoned from R-4, Suburban Resi-
dential Zone, to R -1, Single Family Zone, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that such recommendation of the
• Planning Commission for such rezoning should be approved for the
reasons that such rezoning is in accord with good planning and with
the General Plan of the City of Yakima; that the majority of property
owners in the vicinity do not oppose the change in classification;
that the needs of the City and community do require such change
and that the highest and best use of said property is for Single
Family Zone, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. The recommendation of the Planning Commission of
the City of Yakima that the following described real property situated
at North 52nd Avenue between Summitview and Chestnut in the City
All of Yakima, Washington, and more particularly described as follows,
to wit:
The west half of the northeast quarter of the southeast quarter
of Section 21, Township 13 North, Range 18, E.W.M., MUTING
therefrom the following: the south 25 feet thereof for road;
the north 38 feet thereof for road; and the south 12 feet of the
north 50 feet of the east 267 feet thereof for road;
be rezoned from R -4, Suburban Residential Zone, to R -1, Single
Family Zone, be, and the same is hereby, approved and said real
property is hereby rezoned to Single Family Zone. ;S
Section 2. The above change in zoning shall be included and
depicted on the next regularly amended Use District Map prepared
• by and for the City.
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed 110
to file with the Yakima County Auditor a certified copy of this
ordinance.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect el
thirty days after its passage, approv41 and publication as provided
by law and by the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this
day of 1978.
