HomeMy WebLinkAbout1978-2196 FORECLOSURE PROCEEDINGS ON CERTAIN PROPERTY FOR WHICH IRRIGATION MAINTENANCE ASSESSMENTS ARE UNPAID & DELINQUE ORDINANCE NO. AN ORDINANCE directing the City Attorney of the City of Yakima to institute foreclosure proceedings on certain property for which irrigation maintenance assessments are unpaid and delinquent. WHEREAS, irrigation maintenance assessments are unpaid and delinquent for various parcels of real property set out on the attached certificate of the Yakima City Treasurer, and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that such delinquent assess- . ments are in a condition so that the City Council deems it necessary and expedient to institute foreclosure proceedings against the property described on the attached certificate in order to enforce collection of such delinquent assessments, all as contemplated by Chapter 7.24 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code, now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1. The City Attorney of the City of Yakima is hereby directed to institute proceedings for the foreclosure against the property for which irrigation maintenance assessments are unpaid 4), and delinquent, as that property and those assessments are described and set out in the certificate of the City Treasurer, a copy of which certificate is attached hereto and by reference made a part hereof. Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty days after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and by the City Charter.
