AN ORDINANCE rezoning property situate at Landon Avenue and Nob
Hill Boulevard in the City of Yakima, Washington,
from R-2, Two-Family Zone, to Planned Development
Zone.
WHEREAS, after due notice, hearings were held by both the
Planning Commission and City Council of the City of Yakima on the
application of James S. Black/United Paint Co. to rezone property
situate at Landon Avenue and Nob Hill Boulevard in the City of
Yakima, Washington, from R-2, Two-Family Zone, to Planned Develop-
ment Zone, which property is more particularly described below, and
WHEREAS, as a result of the most recent hearing by- tHe'Yakima
City Council, the City Council requested a further report by the
Planning Commission, which report was filed with the City Council
on August 7, 1978; and after hearing such report, the City Council
finds and determines that the application for rezoning should be
granted for the reasons that such rezoning is in accord with good
planning and with the General Plan of the City of Yakima, that the
majority of property owners in the vicinity do not oppose the change
in classification, that the needs of the City and the community'
do require such change and that the highest and best use of said
• property is for Planned Development Zone, now, therefore,
• BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. The application of James S. Black/United Paint Co.
is hereby granted for the rezone of the following described property
situate in the City of Yakima, Yakima County, Washington, which
property is more particularly described as follows:
Lots 11 and 12, Broadway-Lenox Addition No. 2, as
recorded in Volume K of Plats, page 27, records of
Yakima County, Washington,
which property is hereby rezoned from R-2, Two-Family Zone, to
• Planned Development Zone, all in accordance with, and to conform
to, the final development plan and program therefor, a copy of
which is attached hereto and by reference made a part hereof.
Section 2. The above change in zoning shall be included and
depicted on the next regularly amended Use District Map prepared by
and for the City.
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed

to file with the Yakima County Auditor a certified copy of this
ordinance.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and
effect thirty days after its passage, approval and publication -410
as provided by law and by the City Charter.
