AN ORDINANCE relating to city personnel; requiring bonds for cer-
tain city officers and employees; and amending Sec-
tions-2.16.010 and 2.16.020 of the City of Yakima
Municipal Code.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. Section 2.16.010 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code
is hereby amended to read as follows:
"2.16.010 Bonds required--Amount. The following
named officers and employees of the City of Yakima, and
the Treasurer of Yakima County as ex officio collector of
city taxes, before assuming the duties of their respective
offices, shall be bonded by a.professional surety company
authorized to do business in,the-State of Washington, which
bonds shall be conditioned for the faithful discharge of
the duties of such officers and employees as provided by
law, in the following amounts:

Blanket Bond Annual Bond
City Manager $25,000
Director of Finance . . 25,000
City Treasurer $100,000
Yakima County Treasurer . 25,000
All other employees . . . 5,000
Provided, however, that bonds of two or more officers or
employees, except for the annual bond of the City Treasurer
and the County Treasurer, may be consolidated in one
instrument as a blanket bond."
Section 2. Section 2.16.020 of the City of Yakima Municipal
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"2.16.020 Approval of bonds. ' The bonds required
by Section 2.16.010 of this.chapter shall be subject
to approval by the City Attorney as to form and execu-
tion, and upon such approval shall be retained file
in the office of' the City Clerk."
• Section 3. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
thirty days after its passage, approval and publication as provided
by law and by the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this QS day
