AN ORDINANCE relating to funds and accounts; creating a Capitol
Theatre Fund and specifying purposes for which ex-
penditures may be made therefrom; amending Section
3.98.010 of the City of Yakima Municipal Code; and
declaring an emergency.
410 BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. Section 3.98.010 of the City of Yakima Municipal
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"3.98.010 Fund created--Purpose. There is created
a special fund to be known as the Capitol Theatre Fund.
Money in such fund shall be expended for the repair and
restoration of the Capitol Theatre building and fixtures
and appurtenances thereto, and for other capital expen-
410 ditures incurred by the City arising from the ownership
of the Capitol Theatre premises, and to maintain or pre-'
serve the Capitol Theatre premises and improvements there-
to."
Section 2. This ordinance is one to provide for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and wel-
fare of the people of the City of Yakima and an emergency is hereby
declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and
effect immediately upon its passage, approval and publication as
provided by law and by the City Charter.
