ORDINANCE NO. /e3 AN ORDINANCE relating to traffic control; regulating parking in 'public parking lots operated by the City; enacting Section 9.50.560 as a new section of the City of Yakima Municipal Code; and declaring an emergency. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: 110 Section 1. Section 9.50.560'is hereby enacted as a new sec- tion of the City of Yakima Municipal Code to read as follows: "9.50.560 Public parkin& lots. A. Parkin& time limit. In all parking lots operated by the City for public parking, it shall be unlawful for any person to park a vehicle for a period of time in excess of two consecutive hours between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on any day except Sundays and public holidays. B. Method of parking. (1) In all parking lots operated by the City for public parking, all vehicles shall be parked so as to be contained within a designated parking space or stall, and it shall be unlawful for any person to park a vehicle so that it occupies or overlaps more than one parking space or stall as designated by lines or markers. 411 Any vehicle parked in violation of this Subsection 9.50.560 B in a traffic aisle, at or near an entrance or exit, or in any other place or manner so as to obstruct or interfere with the movement of vehicular traffic into, within or out of any such parking iot is subject to impound- ment under provisions of Section 6.84.030 of this code." • Section 2. This ordinance is one to provide for the immediate preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare of the people of the City of Yakima and an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and by the City Charter.
