AN ORDINANCE rezoning property on the east side of 22nd Avenue 150
feet south of Nob Hill Boulevard in the City of Yakima
from R-2, Two-Family Zone, to B-3, General Business
Zone.
, WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal notice, the City Council
of the City of Yakima held a hearing on the 28th day of June, 1976,
upon the recommendation of the Planning Commission that real
property situated on the east side of 22nd Avenue 150 feet south
of Nob Hill Boulevard in the City of Yakima, Washington, the legal
description of which is set out hereinbelow, be rezoned from R-2,
Two-Family Zone, to B-3, General Business Zone, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that such recommendation of
the Planning Commission for such rezoning should be approved for
the reasons that such rezoning is in accord with good planning and
with the General Plan of the City of Yakima; that the majority of
property owners in the vicinity do not oppose the change in classi-
fication; that the needs of the City and community do require such
change and that the highest and best use of said property is for
General Business Zone, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. The recommendation of the Planning Cona of
the City of Yakima that the following described real property on
the east side of 22nd Avenue 150 feet south of Nob Hill Boulevard
in the City of Yakima, Washington, and more particularly described
as follows, to wit:
Lot 40 in French's Subdivision, Yakima County, State of
WnL,h1.ngton, together with water, water rights, and appur-
III tenances thereunto belonging subject to rights-of-way,
easements, restrictions, and reservations of record or
existing by prescription,
be rezoned from R-2, Two-Family Zone, to B-3, General Business Zone,
be, and the same is hereby, approved and said real property is hereby
rezoned to General Business Zone.
Section 2. The above change in zoning shall be included and
depicted on the next regularly amended Use District Map prepared
by and for the City. 410
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to file with the Yakima County Auditor a certified copy of this
ordinance.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
thirty days after its passage, approval and publication as provided
by law and by the City Charter.
