AN ORDINANCE annexing property to the City of Yakima, and zoning
said property.
WHEREAS, proceedings have been held in accordance with all
applicable laws for the annexation to the City of Yakima of the
property hereinafter described, and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Yakima duly
held a public hearing on the zoning of said property hereinafter
described and annexed and, as a result of said hearing, duly recom-
mended that said property be annexed to the City of Yakima and zoned
as hereinafter specified, and
WHEREAS, more than 60 days have elapsed from the date of the
filing with the Yakima County Boundary Review Board of a notice of
intention regarding such annexation, and the jurisdiction of that Board
was not invoked as provided by R.C.W. 36.93.100, and such annexation
411 is therefore deemed approved by that Board, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal notice, the City Council
held a public hearing on said annexation on the 9th day of August,
1976; and, as a result thereof, finds that such property should be
annexed to the City of Yakima and further finds that the property
should be zoned as hereinafter set forth for the reasons that such
zoning and classification is in accord with good planning and with
the General Plan of the City of Yakima, that the majority of the
property owners in the vicinity do not oppose the classification or
the annexation, that the needs of the City and community do require
the hereinafter set forth zoning classification, and that the highest
NO and best use for said property is as hereinafter determined, now,
therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. The following described property situated in Yakima
County, Washington, contiguous to the City of Yakima is hereby annexed
to the City of Yakima, Washington:
Beginning at the southeast corner of the northeast quarter of the northeast
quarter of Section 29, Township 13 North, Range 18, E.W.M., thence westerly
along the south line of said subdivision to its intersection with the west
line extended of Block 1 of the plat of Westwood West recorded in Volume "U"
of plats, page 18, records of Yakima County, Washington; thence northerly •
along said west line and west line extended to its intersection with the north
right of way line of Tieton Drive according to the plat of Hiland Manor re-
corded in Volume "T" of plats, page 45, records of Yakima County, Washington;
thence easterly along said north line to the southeast corner of Lot 1 of
,said plat; thence northerly along the east line of Lot 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, and
6 extended of said plat to the southeast corner of Lot 7 of Parsons Plat re-
corded in Volume "S" of plats, page 36, records of Yakima County, Washington,
thence northerly along the east line of Lots 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 to the
northeast.porner of Lot 1 of said plat; thence westerly along the north line
of Lot 1 of said plat-17.1 feet to a - line extended south from the
southwest corner of Lot 19 of Lizton's Subdivision, recorded in Volume "S",
page 11, records of Yakima County, Washington, thence north along said extended
line to the southwest corner of Lot 19; thence northwesterly along the westerly
line of Lots 19, 14, 13, and to the most westerly corner of Lot 6; thence
north 62 west to the centerline of the Yakima Valley Canal Company's right
of way; thence westerly along said centerline to its intersection with(west 411
right of way line extended of North 67th Avenue according to the plat of Maribee
Acres recorded in Volume "V" of plats, page 12, records of Yakima County, Wash-
ington; thence northerly along (he west right of way line of North 67th Avenue
to its intersection with the south right of way line of Summitview Avenue ac-
cording to said plat; thence easterly along said right of way line to its
intersection with the centerline of 65th Avenue; thence southerly along the
centerline of 65th Avenue to the north line of the southeast quarter of the
southeast quarter of Section 20, Township 13 North, Range 18,.E.W.M.; thence
easterly along said north line to the centerline of 65th Avenue according to
Parsons Plat recorded in Volume "S".of plats, page 36, records of Yakima County,
Washington, thence southerly along the centerline of 65th Avenue to the north
line of the northeast quarter of the northeast quarter of Section 29, Township
13 North, Range 18, E.W.M.; thence easterly along the north line of said sub-
division to the northeast corner; thence southerly along the east line of said
subdivision to the southeast corner, the point of beginning.

Section 2. The owners of the hereinbefore described real propel',
annexed to the City of Yakima shall be required to assume existing
indebtednesses of the City of Yakima.
Section 3 The hereinbefore described real property annexed to
the City of Yakima is hereby zoned as follows:

(a) The following described property is hereby zoned as R-2,
Two Family Zone:
Beginning at the intersection of the West right of way line of North 67th. Avenue
and the South right of way line of Summitview Avenue according to the plat of Maribee
acres recorded in volume "V" of plats, page 12, records of Yakima County, Washington;
Al thence Easterly along said right of way line to its intersection with the centerline
of North 65th. Avenue; thence Southerly along the centerline of North 65th Avenue
to the centerline of Alpine Way extended; thence Westerly along the centerline of
Alpine Way to its intersection with the centerline of North 66th. Avenue; thence
Southerly along the centerline of North 66th. Avenue to its intersection with the
centerlineof Alpine Way to the West: thence Westerly along the centerline of Alpine
Way to the West right of way line of North 67th. Avenue: thence North along the
West right of way of North 67th. Avenue to point of beginning.
Beginning at the centerline of Tieton Dr. and the West line of lot 12, Hiland Manor
extended according to the plat of Hiland Manor recordeds Volume "T" of plats page
45, records of Yakima County, Washington; thence Northerly along the West line 2nd
West line extended of lot 12 of Hiland Manor to the North line of lot 12; thence
Easterly along the North line of Lot 12 Hiland Manor to the centerline of Parsons
Avenue; thence Southerly 2nd Easterly along the centerline of Parsons Avenue to
its intersection with the centerline of South 65th. Avenue; thence Southerly along
• centerline of South 65th. Avenue to its intersection with the centerline of
II Dr.; thence Westerly along the centerline of Tieton Dr. to the point of
beginning.
(b) All of the property hereby annexed to the City of Yakima as

described in Section 1 hereof is hereby zoned as R-1, Single Family Zone,
except for that portion thereof zoned R-2, Two Family Zone, as described

in Section. 3 (a) hereof.
Section 4. The next regularly amended Use District Map prepared
by and for the City of Yakima shall show said property as hereinbefore
zoned and classified.
Section 5. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to
Tile a certified copy of this. ordinance with the County Auditor of Yakima
• iounty and with the Board of County Commissioners of Yakima County,
Washington.

Section 6,. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty
days after its passage, approval and publication as provided by law
and by the City Charter.
