ORDINANCE NO. . c - > AN ORDINANCE accepting the recommendation of the Planning Commission and rezoning property situated at North 1st Street and Gordon Road in the City of Yakima from M-1, Light Indus- trial Zone, to B-3, General Business Zone. 411 WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal .notice, the City Council of the City of Yakima held a hearing on the 31st day of January, 1977, upon the recommendation of the Planning Commission that real property situated at North 1st Street and Gordon Road in the City of Yakima, Washington, the legal description of which is set out hereinbelow, be rezoned from M-1, Light Industrial Zone, to B73, General Business Zone, and WHEREAS, the City Council finds that such recommendation of the Planning Commission for such rezoning should be approved for the reasons that such rezoning is in accord with good planning and with the General Plan of the City of Yakima; that the majority of property owners in the vicinity do not oppose the change in classification; that the needs of the City and community do require such change and that the highest and best use of said property is for General Business Zone, now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1. The recommendation of the Planning Commission of the City of Yakima that the following described real property situated at North 1st Street and Gordon. Road in the City of Yakima, Washington, and more particularly described as follows, to wit: The north 330 feet of the south 935 feet of that part of the west one-half of the southeast quarter of the southeast quarter of Section 12, Township 13 North, Range 18, E.W.M., lying east of the center line of Gordon Road, as recorded • in Volume I of Plats, page 22, records of Yakima County, Washington, be rezoned from M-1, Light Industrial Zone, to B-3, General Business Zone, be, and the same is hereby, approved and said real property is hereby rezoned to General Business Zone. Section 2. The above change in zoning shall be included and depicted on the next regularly amended Use District Map prepared by and for the City. . _ _ Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to file with the Yakima County Auditor a certified copy of this ordinance. Section 4.
