SUMMARY EXPLANATION:
Yakima Police Department filed a total loss claim with State Farm, the insurance company
representing the responsible party, for a totaled 2013 Ford F-150 XL SuperCrew Truck. The
actual cash value being offered is fair and reasonable at$21,059. Purchase price for this vehicle
was $29,577.81. Mileage is reported at 68,963 miles. NADA value for clean retail is $19,775.

RESOLUTION NO. R-2019-
A RESOLUTION declaring a totaled 2013 Ford F-150 to be surplus to the needs of the City
and authorizing sale of the vehicle to the State Farm Insurance Company.
WHEREAS, the City of Yakima (City) owns one totaled 2013 Ford F-150 truck (City
vehicle identification number ER2379) for which the City and the Yakima Police Department
have no immediate or foreseeable use and is surplus to the needs of the City and Police
Department; and
WHEREAS, State Farm Insurance Company, in representation of the responsible party,
has offered Twenty-One Thousand Fifty-Eight Dollars and Eighty-Five Cents ($21,058.85) for
said totaled vehicle; and
WHEREAS, the offered amount is fair and reasonable; and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that it would be in the best interest of the City to sell
said vehicle forthwith to the State Farm Insurance Company rather than sell the truck at public
auction of City surplus equipment at a later date, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
The City Council hereby declares the aforementioned 2013 Ford F-150 (vehicle
identification number 1 FTFW1 EF3DKF54994/ ER2379) to be surplus to the needs of the City of
Yakima and the Yakima Police Department, and the City Manager is hereby authorized and
directed to sell said vehicle to State Farm Insurance Company for Twenty-One Thousand, Fifty-
Eight Dollars and Eighty-Five Cents ($21,058.85).
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL this 21 n day of May, 2019.
