ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE fixing and levying the amount of ad valorem taxes
necessary to balance estimated revenue with estimated
expenditure for the 1978 Budget for the City of Yakima.
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that the total net amount
of $2,821,659 in revenue must be raised by ad valorem taxes on
real and personal property within the corporate limits of the City
to balance'estimated revenues and expenditures for the 1978 Budget
for the City of Yakima, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. There is hereby fixed to be raised by general
property taxes upon real and personal property within the City
of Yakima the amount of $2,878,123 as reduced by Senior Citizen
exemptions on special and regular levies of $28,004, and annexed
area exemptions on special levies of $28,460, leaving a net tax
revenue of $2,821,659, which amount, when added to the estimated
available revenues from all other sources, will balance the esti-
mated revenues with the estimated expenditures for the 1978 Budget
for the City of Yakima.
Section 2. There is hereby levied upon all taxable property,
both real and personal, within the City of Yakima, Washington, a

total of $4.32 on each thousand dollars of assessed valuation where
the assessment level is 100% of such property to provide tax
revenues for the following purposes:

Section 3. The Clerk is directed to transmit a certified copy
of this ordinance to the office of the County Commissioners of Yakima
County, Washington.
Section 4. This ordinance is one required to be made by the
laws of the State of Washington and shall be in full force and effect
from and after its passage, approval and publication by title as
provided by the City Charter,
