AN ORDINANCE annexing city owned property to the City of Yakima for
municipal airport purposes, and zoning that property
as M-3, Airport Industrial Zone.
WHEREAS, the City owns real property legally described on the
attachments hereto, which property is situate outside of but con-
tiguous to the City, and which is owned and held by the City for
municipal airport purposes, and
WHEREAS, a notice of intention to annex such property to the
City was duly filed with the Yakima County Boundary Review Board,
and more than sixty days elapsed from the date of said filing without
the jurisdiction of that board having been invoked, and
WHEREAS, hearings were duly held by the Planning Commission
and City Council of the City of Yakima on the matter of such annexa-
tion and zoning; and as a result of a hearing by the City Council
held on November 7, 1977, the City Council finds it to be in the
best interests of the City that such property be annexed to the
City and zoned as M-3, Airport Industrial Zone, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. The real property situate in Yakima County, Washing-
ton, the legal descriptions of which are set out on attachments
hereto, is hereby annexed to the City of Yakima for municipal air-
port purposes.
Section 2. As the annexation provided for by Section 1. of this
ordinance becomes effective, all the property so annexed is hereby
zoned as M-3, Airport Industrial Zone.
410 Section 3. The next regularly amended Use District Map prepared
by and for the City of Yakima shall show said property as hereinbefore
zoned and classified.
Section 4. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to file a certified copy of this ordinance with the County Auditor
of Yakima County and with the Board of County Commissioners of Yakima
County, Washington.
Section 5. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
thirty days after its passage, approval and publication as provided
by law and by the City Charter.

Beginning at the intersection of the north right -of -way line of relocated
Washington Avenue and the east line of the west half of the Southwest quarter
of the Northwest quarter of Section 35, Township 13 North, Range 18. E.W.M.,
thence southerly along the east line of said subdivision to its intersection
with a line that is parallel with and 750 feet northeasterly, when measured„
at right angles to the centerline of the north west -- south east runway of
