AN ORDINANCE accepting the recommendation of the Planning Commission
and rezoning property at 117 East "I" Street from B-2, Local
Business Zone, to R-3, Multiple-Family Zone.
• WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal notice, the City Council
of the City of Yakima held a hearing on the 8th day of September,
1975, upon the recommendation of the Planning Commission that real
property situated at 117 East "I" Street in the City of Yakima,
Washington, the legal description of which is set out hereinbelow,
be rezoned from B-2, Local Business Zone, to R-3, Multiple-Family
Zone, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that such recommendation of
the Planning Commission for such rezoning should be approved for
the reasons that such rezoning is in accord with good planning and
with the General Plan of the City of Yakima; that the majority of
property owners in the vicinity do not oppose the change in clas-
sification; that the needs of the City and community do require
such change and that the highest and best use of said property
is for Multiple-Family Zone, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. The recommendation of the Planning Commission of
the. City of Yakima that the following described real property
situated at 117 East "I" Street in the City of Yakima, Washington,
and more particularly described as follows, to wit:
Lot 3, Henry T. Stones Acre Tracts, as recorded in
Volume A, Page 73 of Plats, records of Yakima County,
Washington,
be rezoned from B-2, Local Business Zone, to R-3, Multiple-Family
Zone, be, and the same is hereby, approved and said real property
is i hereby rezoned to Multiple-Family Zone.
Section 2. The above change in zoning shall be included •
and depicted on the next regularly amended Use District Map pre-
pared by and for the City.
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
•
to file with the Yakima County Auditor a certified copy of this
ordinance.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
thirty days after its passage, approval and publication as provided
by law and by the City Charter.
