AN ORDINANCE fixing and levying the amount of ad valorem taxes neces- sary to balance estimated revenue with estimated expen- diture for the 1976 Budget for the City of Yakima. l, WHEREAS, pursuant to a report by the City Manager on the cur- rent status of estimated revenue and estimated expenditures for the 1976 Budget for the City of Yakima, the City Council finds that the total net amount of $2,421,591 in revenue must be raised by ad valorem taxes on real and personal property within the cor- porate limits of the City, which amount is not in excess of the amount authorized by law to be raised from that source, now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1. There is hereby fixed to be raised by general property taxes upon real and personal property within the City of 0 Yakima the amount of $2,448,575 as reduced by Senior Citizen exemp- tions on special levies and regular levy of $26,984, leaving a net tax revenue of $2,421,591, which amount, when added to the estimated available revenues from all other sources, will balance the estimated revenues with the estimated expenditures for the 1976 Budget for the City of Yakima. Section 2. There is hereby levied upon all taxable property, both real and personal, within the City of Yakima, Washington, a total of $4,502484 on each thousand dollars of assessed valuation where the assessment level is 100% of such property to provide tax revenues for the following purposes: Senior Citizen Exemption on Regular Levies $ Levy and Special Net Tax Per $1,000 Levy Levies Revenue Total - General Purposes $3.600 $1,956,188 $ 19,984 $1,936,204 • Special Tax Levies: Library Bond Redemption 7,000 26,773 Street Bond Redemption 7,000 174,254 Airport Bond Redemption 7,000 48,519 Park-Fire Bond Redemption 7 000 235,841 Total - Special Levies .90248 492,387 26,984 485,387 Total $4.502484 $2,448,575 $26,984 $2,421,591 Section 30 The Clerk is directed to transmit a certified copy of this ordinance to the office of the County Commissioners of Yakima County, • Washington. This ordinance is one required to be made by the laws of the State of Washington and shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval and publication by title as provided by the City Charter.
