AN ORDINANCE authorizing the transfer of $719,000 from 199-Federal
Shared Revenue Fund to 370-Bicentennial Pavilion
Construction Fund; and declaring an emergency.
WHEREAS, 199-Federal Shared Revenue Fund contains money
appropriated therein for transfer •as provided by this ordinance,
and
WHEREAS, the amount of $719,000 will be required for transfer
from time to time from 199-Federal Shared Revenue Fund to 370-
Bicentennial Pavilion Construction Fund for acquisition of a
bicentennial pavilion convention center, that amount having been
previously appropriated within 370-Bicentennial Pavilion Construc-
tion Fund in anticipation of this transfer of money to that fund,
and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds the purposes for which this
transfer is to be made are appropriate purposes for expenditures
of money in 199-Federal Shared Revenue Fund, and that it is in the
best interests of the City to make the transfer authorized by this
ordinance, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. The amount of $719,000 is hereby authorized to
be transferred from 199-Federal Shared Revenue Fund to 370-Bicenten-
nial Pavilion Construction Fund, from time to time as necessary, for
expenditures from 370-Bicentennial Pavilion Construction Fund in
accordance with appropriations previously made for expenditures from
370-Bicentennial Pavilion Construction Fund.
Section 2. The Director of Finance and the City Treasurer
411 of the City of Yakima are hereby authorized to make transfers as
necessary from time to time to carry out this ordinance.
Section 3. This ordinance is one to provide for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and
welfare of the people of the City of Yakima and an emergency is
hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force
and effect immediately upon its passage, approval and publication
as provided by law and by the City Charter.
