AN ORDINANCE accepting the recommendation of the Planning Commis-
sion and rezoning property located at East Yakima Avenue
and 7th Street on the north side in the City of Yakima,
Washington, from R-3, Multiple Family Zone, and B-2,
Local Business Zone, to B-3, General Business Zone.
WHEREAS, pursuant to due and legal notice, the City Council
of the City of Yakima held a hearing on the 3rd day of November, 1975,
upon the recommendation of the Planning Commission that real property
situated at East Yakima Avenue and 7th Street on the north side, in
the City of Yakima, Washington, the legal description of which is set
out hereinbelow, be rezoned from R-3, Multiple Family Zone, and B-2,
Local Business Zone, to B-3, General Business Zone, and
WHEREAS, the City Council finds that such recommendation of the
Planning Commission for such rezoning should be approved for the
reasons that such rezoning is in accord with good planning and with
0 the General Plan of the City of Yakima; that the majority of property
owners in the vicinity do not oppose the change in classification;
that .the needs of .the City and community do require such change and
that the highest and best use of said property is for B-3, General
Business Zone, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. The recommendation of the Planning Commission of
the City of Yakima that the following described real property situated
at East Yakima Avenue and 7th Street in the City of Yakima, Washington,
and more particularly described as follows, to wit:
All of 7th Street starting 200 feet north of the center line
of East Yakima Avenue, thervmorth to the center line of East
411 "A" Street,
The south half of East "A" Street starting from the east boundary
of North 7th Street, then east 80 feet,
The south half of East "A" Street starting from the west boundary
of North 7th Street, then west to the center line of the alley
between 6th Street and 7th Street,
The west 80 feet of Lots 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13, Block 150, Huson's
Addition to Yakima,

Lots 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8, Block 130, Huson's Addition to Yakima,
including that area west of said lots to the center line of the
alley between North 6th Street and North 7th Street,
be rezoned from R-3, Multiple Family Zone, and B-2, Local Business
Zone, to B-3, General Business Zone, be, and the same is hereby,
approved and said real property is hereby rezoned to B-3, General
Business Zone.
Section 2. The above change in zoning shall be included and
depicted on the next regularly amended Use District Map prepared by
and for the City.
Section 3. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to file with the Yakima County Auditor a certified copy of this
ordinance.
Section 4. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
thirty days after its passage, approval and publication as provided
by law and by the City Charter.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL, signed and approved this
