HomeMy WebLinkAbout1975-1862 AMENDING SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE NO. 1855. - — ORDINANCE NO. a6A AN ORDINANCE amending Section 1 of Ordinance No. 1855, enacted Novem- ber 3, 1975, entitled "AN ORDINANCE annexing property to the City of Yakima, and zoning said property"; and declaring an emergency. 111 WHEREAS, by Ordinance No. 1855, enacted November 3, 1975, property was annexed to the City of Yakima, the legal description of which property contained a clerical error to be corrected by this ordinance, now, therefore, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA: Section 1. Section 1 of Ordinance No. 1855, enacted November 3, 1975, entitled "AN ORDINANCE annexing property to the City of Yakima, and zoning said property", is hereby amended to read as follows: "Section 1. The following described property situated in Yakima County, Washington, contiguous to the City of Yakima is hereby annexed to the City of Yakima, Washington: Beginning at the southeast corner of the northeast quarter 111 of the northeast quarter of Section 20, Township 13 North, Range 18, E.W.M., thence south 20 feet, thence north 88 west along the south right of way line of Lincoln Avenue 314 feet; thence south 10 feet, thence north 88 west along the south right of way line of Lincoln Avenue 314 feet; thence north 0 east along the extended east right of way line of Prospect Way according to the plat of Prospect Park recorded in Volume "R" of Plats, page 21, records of Yakima County, Washington; thence along said east right of way line and east right of way line extended to the north right of way line of Englewood Avenue according to the plat of Yakima Orchard Highland Company's Orchard Tracts recorded in Volume "B" of Plats, page 31, records of Yakima County, Washington; thence easterly along said north right of way line to the east line of Section 17, Township 13 North, Range 18, E.W.M.; thence south 25 feet to the northeast corner of the northeast quarter of the northeast quarter of Section 20, Township 13 North, Range 18, E.W.M., thence south to the point of beginning. Section 2. This ordinance is one to provide for the immediate A ft preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare IIP of the people of the City of Yakima and an emergency is hereby declared to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately upon its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and by the City Charter.
