AN ORDINANCE confirming the irrigation maintenance assessment roll
of the City of Yakima for the calendar year 1976, and
levying irrigation maintenance assessments according
to such roll; and declaring an emergency.
WHEREAS, the Director of Public Works of the City of Yakima has
heretofore duly prepared and filed with the Yakima City Clerk a pro-
posed irrigation maintenance assessment roll for the calendar year
1976, all pursuant to and in accordance with applicable laws, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to due notice, the Yakima City Council held a
public hearing on March 22, 1976, on the confirmation of said proposed
roll, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. The irrigation maintenance assessment roll of the
City of Yakima for the calendar year 1976 as heretofore filed with
the Yakima City Clerk and the assessments contained therein, are
hereby approved and confirmed; and the lots, tracts and parcels of
land described in said roll are hereby assessed and charged in the
respective amounts set forth and specified in said roll.
Section 2. The City Clerk is hereby directed to deliver forth-
with to the City Treasurer a certified copy of said assessment roll,
and the City Treasurer shall thereupon publish notice and mail state-
ments of said assessments being due, all as required by law.
Section 3. This ordinance is one to provide for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, property, health, safety and welfare
of the people of the City of Yakima and an emergency is hereby declared
to exist and this ordinance shall be in full force and effect immediately
upon its passage, approval and publication as provided by law and by
III the City Charter.
