AN ORDINANCE authorizing a temporary loan of the amount of
$8,116 from 473 - Water -Sewer Fund to 699- Intergovern-
mental Agency Fund and providing for repayment; and
appropriating the amount of $8,116 from unappropriated
money in 699 - Intergovernmental Agency Fund to Account
699.543.23.41 as a 1976 appropriation for 699- Inter-
I governmental Agency Fund.
WHEREAS, 473- Water - Sewer. Fund contains unappropriated money
available for investment by making the loan provided by this ordi-
nance, and
WHEREAS, the amount of $8,116 must be loaned to and appro-
priated in 699- Intergovernmental Agency Fund in order to pay the
City's share of the cost of the Yakima Metropolitan Area Transpor-
tation Study; and the City Council finds it to be in the best
interests of the City to loan the amount of $8,116 from 473-Water-
Sewer Fund. to 699- Intergovernmental Agency Fund, to be repaid _on
or before December 31, 1976, together with interest at the rate
• of 6% per annum, and
WHEREAS, at the time of the adoption of the 1976 Budget it
could not reasonably have been foreseen that this additional appro-
priation would be required; and the City Council finds that an
emergency exists of the type contemplated by R.C.W. 35.33.091 and
that it is in the best interests of the City to make the loan and
the appropriation herein provided, now, therefore,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. The amount of $8,116 is hereby transferred and
loaned from 473 -Water -Sewer Fund to 699 - Intergovernmental Agency
Fund, said loan to be repaid to 473- Water -Sewer Fund from 699 -
AM
Intergovernmental Agency Fund, together with interest at the rate
of 6% per annum, on or before December 31, 1976.
Section 2. As the transfer and loan authorized by Section 1
of this ordinance becomes effective, the amount of $8,116 is hereby
appropriated from unappropriated money in 699- Intergovernmental
Agency Fund to Account 699.546.23.41 as a 1976 appropriation for
699- Intergovernmental Agency Fund.
Section 3. The Finance Officer and City Treasurer of
the City of Yakima are hereby authorized and directed to make
the necessary transfer to carry out the loan authorized by this
ordinance.
Section 4. This ordinance is one making an appropriation
and shall take effect immediately upon its passage, approval
and publication as provided by law and by the City Charter.
