AN ORDINANCE relating to subdivisions; specifying lot standards
of proposed subdivisions; and amending Section 14.06.100
of the City of Yakima Municipal Code.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF YAKIMA:
Section 1. Section 14.06.100 of the City of Yakima Municipal
Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
"14.06.100 Lots. A. The size, shape and orientation
of lots shall be appropriate for the location of the proposed
subdivision and for the type of development contemplated,
and shall comply with requirements as specified in Title 12.
B. Every lot not within a planned unit development
shall abut on a publicly dedicated street.
C. Lots, except corner lots, should not have frontage
on two streets.
D. Side lot lines should be approximately at right
angles to the right-of-way line of the street on which the
lot faces.
E. Corner lots for residential use shall be platted
• wider than interior lots, and shall conform to the front-
yard requirements on the side street as prescribed by the
zoning ordinance.
F. Proposed plats, subdivisions, or dedications
which include lot layout to be used for commercial or retail
purposes shall comply with the requirements as specified
in Title 12."
Section 2. This ordinance shall be in full force and effect
thirty days after its passage, approval and publication as provided
by law and by the City Charter.
